Jelly Babies Have Names…..

Bassetts Jelly Babies has become a favourite for all ages, even time lords. This lovely colourful baby shaped, soft jelly sweet with its plump belly has

become quite an icon.

It started with Peace Babies which were introduced in 1918 to commemorate the end of World War 1. These were the original parents of Jelly Babies which were born in 1953.

So did you know they had names, Well here they are.

Bassett's named there Jelly Babies by shape, colour and flavour. Brilliant (red - strawberry), Bubbles (yellow - lemon), Baby Bonny (pink - raspberry), Boofuls (green - lime), Bigheart (black - blackcurrant) and Bumper (orange).

Bassett's Jelly Babies changed in 2007 to include only natural colours and ingredients.
